Elizabeth T, MSW
Start Date: October 2017
” I started as an intern through the University of Washington. I was so impressed by the quality of volunteers that I worked to get SideWalk accepted into the list of practicum placement sites for the University. I am very proud to say I was the first Master level student to serve with SideWalk. I now volunteer as a Navigator assisting individuals with accessing community resources and advocating on their behalf with my Masters in Social Work. I believe that SideWalk treats individuals who are experiencing homelessness with dignity, empathy, and respect. Furthermore, we provide our community with hope, which is greatly needed and seldom felt. The humor and compassion I experience makes me feel hopeful that our community of volunteers can make a difference with the people we serve. The positivity I receive for volunteering with SideWalk makes my life so much richer and enjoyable.”
Let’s thank Elizabeth for her service to our unhoused neighbors!
